Aloha everybody…wai wai…it’s raining & raining…our gardens are a jungley mess right now…which we love though does have us worried about all this mulch & CRB…
as new moon 10/10 is approaching we are reflecting back on where our little homestead began 8 years ago…10/10/2018 we planted our first tree together & started our Gushiken guavas from seeds Jack gifted us…the ‘ulu in the pic above…given to us by Ku’ulei + Jossi from their beautiful forest of food they tend to down the road…amazingly this ‘ulu & our guavas were completely untouched by the recent storms & are fruiting…we have continued on this tradition sharing tree starts & fruits with so many…which was one of our homesteading dreams…and if you know kalen, mastering & teaching preserving was another…
and so we are offering individual food preservation masterclasses because truly having locally grown healthy & delicious homemade goods that you made for yourself in your pantry at all times is really nice & comforting.
