• poke’ classes can be private or public
• all are outdoors
• they are 2 hours & begin at 11a
• we only use local, fresh fish caught by local folks or vegetarian options
• each class begins w garden tea & a tour of our gardens & ‘talk story’
• we’ll then prepare 3 kinds of poke’; OG, modern day spicy & then you’ll get to harvest ingredients from the garden & create your own!
• you’ll then eaikakou (enjoy together)
• and you’ll take away recipes & good memories
classes are $150pp, ask about large group (over 6) classes & pricing

poke’ is a Hawaii tradition
kalen is Hawaiian, born & raised on kaua’i. he loves poke’ & has been teaching public poke’ classes on his homestead since 2019. poke’ is a native tradition that originated in Hawaii & is part of his story, being from a family of fishermen & that cater & host big backyard luaus. since he can remember poke’ was always on the table & he’s carrying on this tradition…

join kalen for 2+ hours of fun hands-on instruction where you will learn his story of poke’ & use the freshest, local caught fish & other ingredients to make the original local poke’, the popular modern day spicy poke’, and then you’ll forage & create your own.
class is followed up with a sit down byob poke’ bowl feast of what you created.
and also feel good knowing that fish is one of the best natural fertilizers & all the leftover fish parts from class get planted in to the gardens & help to feed & nourish the land & plants!
